22/04/2010 Manpower Reports 1st Quarter 2010 Results
MILWAUKEE, WI, USA, April 21, 2010 – Manpower Inc. (NYSE: MAN) today reported that net earnings for the three months ended March 31, 2010 were $2.8 million, or 4 cents per diluted share, compared to a loss of $1.8 million, or 2 cents per diluted share, a year earlier. Revenues for the first quarter were $4.1 billion, an increase of 13% from the year earlier period, or 5% in constant currency.

Employees flying blind with social media, survey reveals
More than two-thirds of New Zealand employers don’t have a policy to guide their employees’ use of social media, according to a new Manpower white paper.

The white paper is based on a Manpower survey of 34,000 employers in 35
countries, including over 500 New Zealand respondents, which gauged employer attitudes toward social media in the workplace.

It found most are yet to form an opinion: globally, 75 percent of employers have no formal social media policy, although New Zealand is slightly more advanced, at 68 percent.

Manpower Calls for New Zealand Employers to Evolve Talent Strategies in the Post-Recession World
Over half of NZ employers don’t view contingent labour as strategic workforce accelerators

3 November 2009 – According to a survey released by Manpower New Zealand today, more than half (60%) of Kiwi employers do not view contingent labour as a strategic part of their workforce, despite the fact that the economy’s recovery phase will require employers to use contingent staff when demand begins to increase.
